Our Team

 

LIZ DUNNING – Director

Liz has spent the last 25 years championing great creative ideas in senior positions at Landor, Michael Peters

and Lambie-Nairn. In 2003 she co-founded Dunning Penney Jones and is a regular speaker at international

branding conferences. A highly experienced and strategic thinker, Liz holds a BSc in Marketing, an MSc in

Information Systems, and is an Advanced Management graduate from Harvard Business School. A dual

US/UK citizen, she has lived and worked on both sides of the Atlantic. Her experience includes major branding

projects with BBC, BT, Diageo, Disney, Rolls-Royce, Sky, Sony, Swiss Television, History Channel and UKTV.

 

MARCUS JONES – Creative Director

Marcus Jones is co-founder and partner of Dunning Penney Jones. His work spans highly acclaimed

corporate identity work, television branding and complex technology projects working in IPTV, EPG and

on mobile devices. His clients include Sky, Sony PlayStation, SRG SSR, Swisscom, Press Association and

many brands for Diageo (Talisker, The Singleton and Johnnie Walker). In the eight years since he co-founded

the business his work has been widely recognised and awarded. Marcus is a creative director whose ideas

are strategically informed and creatively outstanding. He is comfortable working across all media from

complex interactive environments, print, packaging and moving image work for television, cinema and online.

 

MATT PENNEY – Creative Director

Creative director Matt Penney joined DPJ in 2004 following 10 years at Lambie-Nairn and was appointed

partner in 2008. Matt's ability to create unique, exciting and result focused creative work has been recognised

with a number of awards. These include a Royal Television Society and D&AD award for the launch identity of

BBC Three. Matt is a specialist in moving image and broadcast, producing a wide range of projects from title

sequences and promotional packages to large-scale channel rebrands and entirely new channel launches.

Since joining DPJ, Matt has worked on a wide range of national and international projects including BBC,

Disney, EMI, PBS, Rolls-Royce, SF News, UKTV and Zee.

 

SOPHIE HAMP –  Project Manager

A graduate of English Literature from Nottingham University, Sophie has worked on a wide range of branding

projects including print, online and television. Sophie has worked at a number of creative agencies including

Bostock and Pollitt, Corporate Edge and Lambie-Nairn where she has managed projects for the likes of

Barclays, BT, Morrisons and O2. Beyond account management she specialises in project processes and all

aspects of delivery. Since joining DPJ her clients have included Diageo, Disney, Sony and Sky.

 

PETER ALLINSON - Designer

Peter graduated from the University for the Creative Arts with a BA Honours in Graphic Design: New Media,

and an MA with distinction in Graphic Design and Communication. In 2006 Peter was awarded the D&AD

Global Student award and was named by his university as ‘MA Designer of the year’ in 2008. Prior to joining

DPJ Peter was employed by the BBC as a freelance Designer, producing graphics for broadcast across the

BBC network. Since joining DPJ in 2008 Peter has worked on some of the company’s largest and most

prestigious accounts including Disney, EMI, PBS, Sky, Standard Life and Swisscom.

 

ASTRID EDWARDS – Producer

Astrid Edwards has 20 years experience as a Producer for film and TV. She has worked around the world with

several award-winning UK and US directors across various high-end commercial, TV and film projects. In

2007 Astrid commissioned and exec-produced 90 climate change themed films for Live Earth which broadcast

simultaneously to 60 countries worldwide. She has comprehensive experience of design identity, live action

and post-production special effects working with clients such as Vodafone, VW, Bacardi, Discovery Channel,

Five, Channel 4, BBC and Sky Arts.
