EMI, one of the worlds leading music
companies needed to create a visual
identity to increase recognition for the
brand with business-to-business
audiences. The identity needed to
reflect how the business has evolved
from being just a record label to a total
music entertainment offer. The identity
we created is based on a visual matrix
which illustrates EMI’s involvement in
all areas of the music business, from
record label, production, marketing &
promotion to audience research &
insight. The identity also needed to
work across all of EMI’s brands and
internal divisions to allow each one to
speak specifically about their business
whilst remaining part of the EMI brand.
